Stunning 1930s Black Chiffon Bias Cut Evening Gown & Matching Cape
A gorgeous evening gown and cape set dating from the 1930s.
Labels -none.
The gown is made from black chiffon which is fully lined.
Very slinky and figure hugging cut on the bias.
Features thin straps and rounded low neckline.
Pink trim around the front and back neckline.
V low back.
The bottom of the dress has a chevron design and flares out.
Please bare in mind there are no side openings it has to be pulled over the head.
The cape is made from unlined black chiffon with chevron detail and has a fluted edge.
Ties at the front.
In excellent condition with no damage i can see to the dress. There is slightly messy stitching that joins the straps to the dress. There is one tiny hole on the cape.
MEASUREMENTS
Bust 32” up to 34” stretched
Up to 26” waist stretched. Smaller would be better.
Hips 36” stretched
Length 51”
I would equate this to a modern size 6/8 UK due to the bias cut but really the smaller frame you are the better.
